Apple reported a small but surprising drop in iPhone sales for the first three months of 2017. The company sold 50.8 million iPhones in the last quarter, down 1 percent from an annual basis. The stock had hit a record high of $ 147 a share on Tuesday as investors expected a quarter of expansion, Forbes' Brian Solomon said.
The results were mixed in general. While iPhone sales fell, the company was more profitable than expected, making $ 2.10 per share compared to the $ 2.02 expected by analysts, Solomon added.
